Buddhist Meditation Classes & Retreats

All classes at Kadampa Meditation Center Florida are included within three special programs; General Program, Foundation Program and Teacher Training Program.  You can sign up for any of these programs on a monthly basis.  Please visit Monthly Payment Plans for more information.

The General Program

The General Program consists of drop-in meditation classes, day courses, and meditation retreats. The methods taught within these classes are appropriate for all individuals, whatever your level of interest.

These programs introduce basic Buddhist view, meditation and action, along with various other teachings and practices to help practitioners deepen their knowledge and experience of Buddhism.  These classes are suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.

By following Buddha's special advice we can find peace of mind, overcome our pain and fear and become of greater benefit to others.

We offer the following on-going general program classes at our center in Sarasota:

Learning to Enjoy Everyone: Buddha's Teachings on Love, Sundays 10:00am
Dharma for Discouragement:Developing Pure Confidence, Tuesdays 7:30pm
Lunchtime Meditation: Simply Meditate, Wednesdays 12:15pm
Stop the Week! A Practical Guide to Meditation, Fridays 6:30pm

These classes are open to everyone; just drop in!

Foundation Program & Teacher Training Program

The Foundation and Teacher Training Programs offer an opportunity to study Buddhism in an in-depth format.  The intention of these programs is for the students to gain knowledge and practical experience of Buddha's teachings.
