Compassion & Wisdom

living a life of altruism and meaning

January 15 - 17
with Resident Teacher Gen Demo

Course Description
Compassion and wisdom are said to be like the two wings of a bird. Just as a bird needs both wings to fly, so do spiritual practitioners need both compassion and wisdom to fly to enlightenment.

In this weekend retreat we will engage in meditation practices to increase both our compassion and wisdom understanding emptiness in order to be of greater benefit to ourself and others.

These meditation practices are part of a special sequence of meditations called Lamrim in Tibetan or the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment in English. This weekend retreat will be part three of a three weekend retreat series on Lamrim.
